About

History

Pressed Flights was established in 1983 in a disused barn in Todmorden.  From those small beginnings it became known for its quality and service as it quickly developed an increasing number of Clients in a wide variety of industries.

The increasing demand for its goods and services necessitated a move to larger premises and so in 1991 Pressed Flights relocated to Unit 6 Python Industrial Estate in Littleborough.

Over the years to follow Pressed Flights extended its premises creating dedicated production areas for:

  • Plasma cutting
  • Machining
  • Pressing and straightening
  • Fabrication and welding

In total it now has over 1400 square meters of manufacturing workshop and storage space.

Pressed Flights has been committed to continual improvement in all aspects of its business including its manufacturing capabilities, development of its employees, its quality and the high service provided to its Customers, making them the number one choice in materials handling for a wide variety of industries.  This dedication has seen the Customer base continue to grow, not only in the UK but also into Europe and the Middle East.

Pressed Flights has been at the forefront in using advanced technologies in forming screw flight and screw shaft assemblies.  Its reputation for quality and its ability to deliver solutions for a wide variety of applications no matter how large or small has assured its continual growth.

In 2015 Longwood Engineering, the UK No.1 supplier of screens and screenings handling equipment, were delighted to become the proud new owners of Pressed Flights Limited.

Under the new owners Pressed Flights will continue trading exactly has it has done in the past.  Longwood Engineering will bring access to an even wider variety of facilities, technologies, skills and support to assist Pressed Flights in its continued desire to be the best in its field.
